(Both of these are apparently for the MS Windows OS only... and they are "free".)
Media Player Classic ... on CNET... for MSW
- Runs more smoothly for me when I watch commercially produced DVD movies.
- Has a hands capture mode, to capture a frame to a still image.
and
SM Player ... on CNET ... for MSW
- Works well for me, except that transitions between "chapters" in commercial DVD movies are not always that good.
- I especially like the image capture feature on this one... as it can capture a whole series of frames, which is especially handy with fast action scenes.
